    Quality Assurance Lead

    Our client is a full-service creative digital marketing agency in Sydney and Australia.

    Its mission is to pioneer brands, write stories, catalyze change and pave success.

    Their strategy is to have a broad canvas to shape and fill every hour of every day. This requires a collaborative approach that mobilizes the complete agency services to deliver a compelling performance.

    In order to expand its activity, we are recruiting for them a Quality Assurance Lead.


    The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected.

    The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with other legacies- and /or external systems while identifying the modules, which need regression testing.

    He needs to liaise with business analysts to contribute to designing the business requirement document and writing the acceptance criteria. He should also supervise a project in terms of quality and QA resources to measure KPIs related to the final quality of the project


    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Develop, establish, and enforce quality assurance measures and testing standards throughout software development life-cycle including bug fixes and enhancements

    • Develop and design test plans to validate the proper behavior of the system and its output as per the requested business requirements.

    • Develop and design test scenarios to validate the proper functionality of the system and its output as per the business requirements.

    • Execute test plans based on the required system behavior, document and communicate comprehensive results.

    • Ensure that validated deliverables meet the functional design

    • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.

    • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.

    • Liaise with business analysts and contribute to designing the business requirement documents and writing the acceptance criteria.

    • Supervise and guide the QA team while working towards achieving the QA KPI standards

    • Work and support all releases and build with smoke, regression, system, and integration testing in all the environments and browsers

    • Demonstrated experience with software quality assurance methods, tools, and processes

    • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology, and processes

    • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

    • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases

    • Experience in using Testing tools and applications such as HP ALM, ServiceNow or JIRA.

    • Support constant regression and release testing activities

    • Strong working knowledge of software testing methodologies including defect management, defect analysis, and defect remediation

    • Identify, isolate, analyze, and track bugs throughout testing

    • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

    • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers, business analysts, and project managers) to identify system requirements


    Requirements and Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or similar technical related field

    • 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, API testing, regression testing, smoke testing, black box, and white box testing

    • Team leading skills

    • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases

    • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing

    • Hands-on experience with relational databases, able to write queries to identify and troubleshoot data issues.

    • Ability to meet quick deadlines and deliver precise, effective results in a fast-paced work environment.

    • Strong organizational, team leadership, and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.

    • Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

    • Ability to think abstract and out of the box with troubleshooting skills.

    • Ability to identify problems, and initiate corrective actions and preventative actions.
