Role Description:
The UX Designer will work within an agile software development team and be the pivotal link between the product team, the business teams, the development team, and when needed, our external stakeholders.
In this role, they will be responsible for creating wireframes, prototypes, screen designs, and any other UX/UI documentation for their products and solutions. Working closely with the product and development teams, they will be responsible for design decisions based on UX standards and design principles and have a hands-on role in the delivery of digital applications with engaging, intuitive user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain product style guides, design specifications, and other UX documentation
Participate in and lead UX activities such as user/design research, interviews, storyboarding, and workshops in an Agile environment
Collaborate with product management and stakeholders (internal and external) to understand user needs and behaviors to effectively translate into UX designs and prototypes
Support the development teams within the sprint process were required to assist in the delivery of solutions (brainstorming, scoping, requirements, user stories, testing, sprint ceremonies, etc)
Required
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a dedicated UX/UI designer within a software development team
Experience in working on web and mobile platforms
Expertise utilizing design tools, we use Figma, but we understand not everyone does
Demonstrable experience of working and collaborating within a dedicated UX team
Adhering to and expanding on an existing set of design principles and libraries
An understanding of how product discovery and design work together
Demonstrable experience of working across multiple development teams
Good knowledge of development principles, limitations, and opportunities
Desirable
Demonstrable experience in building interactive prototypes
Experience and interest in web development programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience in using project management tools such as JIRA
