Our client is extending its capabilities to include project and technical support for investment banking clients, initially in Saudi Arabia but potentially also in other Gulf countries.
They seek to recruit non-technical roles to support large-scale implementations of investment accounting and asset management software products.
The position is based in the KSA and includes a very good package, incentives, and benefits.
Role Description
Work on consultancy projects to determine specific client requirements, independently or as a team leader
- Conduct and document business requirement studies
Configure software to meet client requirements
Conduct unit and systems tests; supports System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and/or mock rehearsals
Provide continual feedback to the project manager promptly highlighting any potential issues to allow a proactive solution to be offered
Create project documentation and deliverables.
Provide training to clients
Liaise with Product Management to communicate client requirements and anticipate future business needs
Supervise and provide quality control for the work of less experienced team members
Mentor and train junior employees
Contribute to innovation and development of tools
Actively participate as a pre-sales resource in the pre-project phases at customers and prospects
Proactively uncover and qualify new business opportunities with existing customers
Perform other related tasks as assigned
Person Specification
Background and Experience
Degree in IT, engineering or a similar related subject
MBA in Finance (ideal, not essential)
5 - 8 years’ experience in an investment banking technology environment, within a major bank or investment company in Europe or the Middle East
- Knowledge and experience of the Gulf region is a distinct advantage, but not essential
Domain knowledge in capital markets
High level of fluency in English
Willingness to work in Riyadh for a period of 2-3 years

Business Analysis
- Research and analysis of client business and technical requirements
- Creation of appropriate specifications, with a track record of authoring high-quality documentation
Project management using a traditional waterfall and agile methodologies
- PMP or similar qualifications and accreditation
Quality management and testing procedures
Specific skills required:
- Fund accounting (NAV calculations)
- General ledger (Journal entries, DR/CR, etc)
- Knowledge about Trial Balance
- Reconciliation (not essential but a good working knowledge is useful)
